Course Description:

The Radar and LIDAR Instructor Course is a comprehensive training program designed to equip law enforcement professionals with the expertise to effectively teach and implement speed enforcement techniques using radar and laser technologies. 

This course delves into the scientific principles underpinning radar and LIDAR, the legal considerations that guide their usage, and practical methods for accurate speed measurement. 

Participants will also learn how to conduct operator classes, ensuring officers are proficient in the proper operation of these tools while adhering to ethical and legal standards. 


By the end of the course, instructors will be equipped to impart essential knowledge to fellow officers, enabling them to enforce speed limits, enhance road safety, and maintain community trust.

This course meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements #2054 & #2065.

This course will be instructed by Chris Decker with Stalker Radar.



Prerequisites:
Any Commissioned Licensed Peace Officer

Currently Commissioned Texas Peace Officers / Basic Instructors / FTO's / Radar & LiDAR user's
