Spanish For Law Enforcement #2109

Course Description:

The primary objective of this 24-hour course, taught by Cpl. Paz at the Jersey Village Police Department, is to equip participants with the necessary linguistic tools to discern critical words or phrases that might indicate a potential threat and to respond appropriately in situations necessitating verbal control over one or multiple subjects.

This safeguards the well-being of the officer, subjects, and bystanders.

Furthermore, the course is thoughtfully designed to foster a deeper comprehension of the Hispanic community within the state of Texas.

This course meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements #2109.
