Citizens Police Academy Citizens Academy General Information
The Citizens' Police Academy is a program hosted annually by the Jersey Village Police Department to give the community a first hand look at the policies and procedures of the department as well as situations officers might encounter during their shifts. Participants will receive a hands-on experience in certain classes and will leave the program with a better understanding of what their police department is doing to keep the community safe. Some of the topics covered include Crime Scene Processing, Narcotics, Major Case Investigation and Use of Force.
The Citizens' Police Academy begins in August and is held on Thursday nights from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM lasting approximately 11 weeks. Classes are held at the Jersey Village Police Station and open to residents of the City of Jersey Village who are at least 17 years of age.
